I was stressed out, lost in LA traffic, in-between meetings in which entertainment industry success seemed always possible but when!? I needed to sit and cool out. I needed borscht. There it was Canter’s. They only serve it cold there. Fine. mmmmmmm
It was a sweet cool relief. I knew then and there that Neil probably ate at the LA landmark when it was filled with hippie musicians who all thought they maybe were on the cusp of that record deal but were stressed about it. Yeah, I shared that borscht with the spectre of young Neil. Right before he played on his first album:
